CapCut's auto-reframe has its own shape, separate from the canvas. Leave this on Same as output for a full-bleed crop. Pick a different shape and the tracked crop is cut to that shape and then placed inside the output canvas — the leftover space uses the bar style below.

Bars around the video

Applies to “Fit + bars” and to any reframe ratio that differs from the output ratio. Text can be placed in these bars — see the Bar text tab.

Smoothing Balanced

Lower reacts fast and can feel twitchy. Higher glides but lags behind quick movement.

Dead zone 8%

The crop ignores movement smaller than this. It's what stops the frame breathing on every head tilt.
