By installing and using BatchClips you agree to the following. It is written plainly on purpose.
A licence key lets you use BatchClips on one computer at a time. You can move it to another machine using Reset device in Settings; there is a short cooldown between resets to stop a single key being shared.
You may not resell, sublicense, share or publish your key.
A licence is time-limited. When it expires the app stops generating clips; clips you have already made remain yours and remain on your computer.
We can revoke a key that is being shared or resold.
The clips are yours. We claim no rights over anything you produce, and we never see it — it does not leave your computer.
You are responsible for what you feed it. BatchClips can download video from public sites, and whether you have the right to use a given video is your decision, not ours. Do not use it on material you do not have permission to use.
BatchClips is provided as is. Clip selection, face tracking, titles and transliteration are automatic and imperfect: they will sometimes choose a dull moment, crop badly, or spell a word wrong. Check your output before you publish it.
We are not liable for lost work, lost time, missed deadlines, or any loss arising from using the software. Your remedy, if it does not work for you, is a refund under section 5.
BatchClips uses yt-dlp to download video. Sites change, and downloads that work today can stop working tomorrow — usually until yt-dlp ships a fix, which you can apply from Settings → Updates. This is not a fault in BatchClips and is not grounds for a refund on its own.
Speech recognition quality depends on the audio. Noisy recordings, heavy accents and crosstalk produce worse transcripts, and therefore worse captions and titles.
If BatchClips does not work on your machine and we cannot fix it, contact us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund.
Refunds are not given for: downloads blocked by a website, output quality you dislike, or a change of mind after the software has worked as described.

When reporting a problem, send the log file from %LOCALAPPDATA%\BatchClips\logs — read it first, as it contains the names of files you processed.
BatchClips bundles open source components (ffmpeg, yt-dlp, Whisper, MediaPipe, Electron and others), each under its own licence. See THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.txt, installed alongside the application.
These terms may change for future versions. The version you installed is governed by the terms shipped with it.
